The term ‘rounded shoulders’ is used to describe a resting shoulder position that has moved forward from the body’s ideal alignment. People that have rounded shoulders typically also have a forward head position and increased slouching of the upper back (thoracic kyphosis). This is usually a problem for those who spend a lot of time seated.
Can this be prevented? If I already have it, can it still be corrected?
Yes on both questions!

As for correction, chiropractic adjustments can correct any misalignment in the shoulders, neck and spine. And of course, you should never forget to practice good posture in everything you do—may it be sitting, walking or lifting things.
